Global Head of Marketing

SteelEye is a fast moving RegTech (Regulatory Technology) start-up that is helping financial companies (e.g. banks, investment firms, brokers, hedge funds, and asset managers) meet their obligations under various global financial regulations.
The Global Head of Marketing will lead the development and execution of SteelEye’s global marketing strategy, using data-driven insights to optimise campaigns, improve customer acquisition and retention, and strengthen brand positioning. Partner cross-functionally with product, sales, and client account management to ensure alignment of marketing activities with business growth objectives, leveraging advanced analytics, market intelligence, and cutting-edge marketing technologies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Strategy & Ownership
- Define and own global marketing strategy aligned with SteelEye’s regtech vision and revenue targets, prioritising pipeline and ROI.
- Build lead-based demand engine with tiered ABM, lifecycle nurturing, and MQL-to-SQL handoffs; own budget shifts to high-ROI channels and quarterly ROMI reports.
- Serve as brand guardian for consistent, compliant positioning across regions.
Demand Generation & ABM
- Design tiered ABM for named accounts, collaborating with Sales on targets, personas, and execution; run multi-channel campaigns with pipeline goals.
- Set funnel SLAs (MQL criteria, SAL/SQL standards, recycle rules) and nurture tracks for re-engagement and upsell.
Product Marketing & Competitive Intelligence
- Develop messaging, launches, and enablement for new features for example legacy systems migrations.
Operations, Data & Tooling
- Drive tool adoption (Bombora, PhantomBuster, LLMs, Qlik, Polaris) with AI guardrails; evaluate new martech for ROI.
Content, Website & SEO/SEM
- Create differentiated, research-backed content for surveillance/best execution/record keeping.
- Optimise website for conversions, SEO/SEM strategies, manage compliant references and case studies.
Governance, Team & Culture
- Lead UK/US team as player-coach; scale headcount ROI-contingent (sequence: Ops → ABM → Content → PMM);
- Experience in stakeholder management and presenting complex data insights to executive leadership
- Experience in vendor negotiation and management

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Track record in building data-driven marketing strategies that deliver measurable ROI.
- Strong expertise in CRM/Marketing Automation integration/marketing analytics platforms (e.g. HubSpot).
- Demonstrated success in growth marketing and running experimentation at scale.
- Deep understanding of B2B financial services marketing, including regulatory considerations.
- Leadership in cross-functional alignment, driving collaboration across sales, product, and customer success.
- Familiarity with AI-driven marketing tools and personalisation technologies.
- Knowledge of Capital Markets
- Strong emphasis on team management, cultural alignment, and an entrepreneurial mindset. Ability to collaborate across UK/US time zones and prioritise data-driven, ROI-focused approaches.
- Proven ability in team management: motivating diverse teams, fostering cultural alignment, and driving high performance through individual connections and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Experience with marketing attribution models (multi-touch, weighted models).
- Experience with client segmentation and the use of data to develop more nuanced, targeted campaigns.
