Finance Analyst
We are seeking a motivated Finance Analyst ideally working towards a professional accounting qualification.

We are seeking a motivated Finance Analyst with 18–24 months of relevant experience, ideally working towards a professional accounting qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ACA). This role offers the opportunity to develop financial expertise while taking ownership of key processes across billing, credit control, and financial reporting.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Customer Billing & Revenue Management. Take ownership of generating and validating customer invoices, ensuring accuracy in billing cycles, reconciling accounts, and proactively resolving discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the wider finance team to improve billing processes and enhance revenue assurance.
- Credit Control & Collections Manage and monitor accounts receivable, working directly with customers to resolve payment queries and ensuring timely collections to optimize cash flow.
- Provide regular reporting and analysis of debtor balances, highlighting risks and recommending actions.
- Financial Data Analysis & Reporting Perform detailed data extraction and analysis to support financial decision-making.
- Prepare insightful reports on revenue, collections, and performance metrics. Contribute to monthly management reporting packs and variance analysis.
- Process Improvement & Automation Identify opportunities to streamline and automate finance processes, particularly around billing and collections.
- Support the implementation of automation tools and continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
Key Skills and Experience:
Financial & Accounting Knowledge
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, billing processes, and accounts receivable, supported by 18–24 months of relevant work experience.
- Progress towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) is desirable.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
- Proven ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and present recommendations to resolve issues.
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
Attention to Detail & Accuracy
- Demonstrated track record of ensuring accuracy in reconciliations, billing, and financial reporting.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Confident communicator, able to engage professionally with customers regarding payments and internal stakeholders across finance, operations, and technology.
- Experience providing clear reporting and insights to non-finance colleagues is a plus.
Technical & Digital Skills
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with financial systems (e.g., Xero, Netsuite, or similar) and CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) is advantageous.
