Senior Pre-Sales Specialist
About the role
SteelEye recently joined forces with FundApps, bringing together two established RegTech businesses with complementary strengths across regulatory compliance, monitoring and surveillance.
Together, we’re building a broader platform for financial institutions, combining SteelEye’s expertise in trade and communications surveillance with FundApps’ capabilities across areas such as shareholding disclosure, position limits and regulatory reporting.
We’re looking for a Senior Pre-Sales Specialist to play a key role in this next phase of growth. You’ll work closely with Sales and prospective clients to understand complex regulatory, business and technical requirements, then show how our solutions can address them.
You’ll lead discovery, product demonstrations, technical discussions and Proofs of Concept, acting as the link between the client, our commercial teams and Product. You’ll also help shape how we position an increasingly broad suite of regulatory technology to financial institutions.
This is a highly client-facing role that combines financial markets and surveillance expertise with strong technical and commercial judgement.
What you’ll be doing
Lead client discovery and solution design, understanding business, compliance and technical requirements and translating them into a clear SteelEye solution.
Deliver compelling product demonstrations, technical deep dives and Proofs of Concept, adapting your approach to different audiences and client needs.
Partner with Sales throughout the sales cycle, helping qualify opportunities, shape solution strategy and navigate technical or regulatory questions.
Support RFPs and RFIs, producing accurate and persuasive responses that clearly communicate SteelEye’s capabilities and value.
Work closely with Product, Engineering and implementation teams, sharing client requirements, providing market feedback and ensuring a smooth transition from sale to onboarding.
Build trusted relationships with clients, engaging confidently with compliance teams, technical stakeholders, end users and senior decision-makers.
Maintain strong knowledge of SteelEye’s products and the wider regulatory landscape, helping improve pre-sales materials, processes and how we position our solutions.
What we’re looking for
You’ll bring a strong understanding of financial markets, surveillance and the challenges facing compliance teams, alongside the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
We’re particularly interested in experience across:
Trade surveillance and market abuse, including rule calibration, alert analysis and communicating surveillance findings.
Financial regulation, particularly MAR and MiFID II.
Financial markets and trading, including instruments, trading data and the trade lifecycle.
Trade and/or communications surveillance platforms and workflows.
Client-facing technical roles, such as pre-sales, implementation, business analysis, technical onboarding or technical project management.
Working with different client stakeholders, from compliance users and technical teams through to senior executives.
Translating technical and regulatory detail into clear business value.
Managing multiple client engagements and priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Experience with Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) or producing detailed technical documentation would also be useful.
Above all, we’re looking for someone who is curious, consultative and comfortable solving complex problems with clients.
Why join us?
This is an opportunity to join a growing RegTech business and have a direct impact on how some of the world’s leading financial institutions manage regulatory compliance.
You’ll work closely with teams across Sales, Product, Engineering and Customer Success, giving you broad exposure across the business and the opportunity to influence both client outcomes and product direction.
We give people the autonomy to take ownership, improve how things are done and develop their expertise as the business grows.
